Roles and Responsibilities:
- People & Team Management – Hire, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration
- Technical Leadership – Define scalable architectures and drive engineering best practices
- Process & Delivery Ownership – Own sprint planning, execution, and delivery to ensure high-quality releases
- System Design & Scalability – Oversee system design, ensuring performance, security, and resilience
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Partner with product, design, and business teams to align technical efforts with company goals
- Hands-on Guidance – While you won’t be coding daily, you should be comfortable reviewing PRs, making architectural decisions, and unblocking technical challenges
Required skills:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in an engineering management role
- Proven experience leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong background in designing and building scalable distributed systems
- Expertise in React (or similar frontend frameworks), Node.js / Python, Django and TypeScript
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS / GCP / Azure
- A track record of driving engineering best practices and improving team productivity
- Strong understanding of agile development, sprint planning, and delivery management
- A people-first leader who fosters a culture of learning, ownership, and accountability
