Job Description

Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled Storage and Backup Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise storage systems and data protection solutions. 

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experince: 8+ Years of Experience (5+ years of relevant experience)

Certification: (NetApp, EMC, Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent)

Knowledge:

1. Experience with enterprise storage vendors (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, Pure Storage)
2. Cloud storage and backup experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
3. Knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB)
4. Knowledge of object storage (S3, Swift, Ceph)
5. Knowledge of data security, encryption, and retention policies

Required Skills:

1.   Strong experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS)

2.   Knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB)

3.   Hands-on experience with backup solutions (Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault, Avamar, Rubrik, etc.)

4.   Experience with snapshot, replication, and DR solutions

5.   Understanding of RAID, LUNs, zoning, and multipathing

6.   Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration

7.   Knowledge of data security, encryption, and retention policies

8.   Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

Responsibilities:

1.   Administer and maintain enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS)

2.   Manage block, file, and object storage platforms

3.   Configure, monitor, and optimize storage performance and capacity

4.   Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions

5.   Perform backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery drills

6.   Manage replication, snapshots, and data retention policies

7.   Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failures

8.   Plan and execute storage upgrades, migrations, and expansions

9.   Ensure data protection, security, and compliance standards are met

10.   Work with application, database, and infrastructure teams for storage needs

11.   Maintain documentation, SOPs, and DR runbooks

12.   Provide on-call support for storage and backup incidents
