JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Job Title          : Lead – Contracts & Documentation

Department : Contracts & Documentation

Reports to     : Vertical Head – Contracts & Documentation

Location         : Mumbai

 

 

1. Job Purpose Statement

Shall be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and closing contracts, other documentation for standard as well as non-standard services/structures, loan agreements and related documentation, contracts for partnerships/new business structures and other financial products.

 

2. Duties & Responsibilities

·      Legal SPOC for drafting, negotiation and closure of contracts.

·      Review and drafting of lease agreements, corporate agency agreements, service agreements, NDAs, loan agreement and related documentation in the loan journey (physical as well as digital).

·      Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, MCA and any other regulatory aspects in contracts and agreements.

·      Should be conversant and well versed with applicable regulations including upcoming regulations like DPDP.

·      Coordination with internal teams to align requirements from all stakeholders to ensure that the same is accurately reflected in documentation.

·      Review executed contracts to support audit/risk team’s audits and provide suggestions where deemed necessary.

Skills & Attitude

·      Should have 10+ years PQE

·      BFSI background

·      Individual contributor

·      Well versed with applicable laws for NBFCs i.e under RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, MCA etc.

·      Being updated on recent caselaws and recent laws including on digital aspects, DPDP among others

·      Excellent drafting skills

·      Good communication and negotiation skills

·      Ability to handle and close critical transactions independently.

·      Ability to identify potential risks and highlight to Legal head.
