Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and CA / MBA / FRM or equivalent professional qualification are desirable but not mandatory.

Experience

8 to 15 years of experience in any of the following areas: Risk management, internal controls, Compliance or Internal audit within financial services; NBFC or retail lending experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of RBI regulations, operational risk frameworks, and control testing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive change in complex environments.

                                                 

 

The In-Business Control Team incumbent will be responsible for overseeing control functions across designated business units and geographies. This role ensures adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks. The incumbents will be based in different locations, reporting directly to two Deputy Vice Presidents (DVPs), who in turn report to the Head of In-Business Controls.

 

Key responsibilities:

1.     Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, compliance, and financial risks.

2.     Ensure timely escalation of control issues to DVPs and Head of In-Business Controls.

3.     Drive compliance with corporate policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.

4.     Partner with local teams to embed a strong risk culture and accountability.

5.     Coordinate with internal audit and compliance teams during reviews.

6.     Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Operations, Legal, Risk).

7.     Prepare regular reports on control effectiveness, risk metrics, and remediation progress.

8.     Track and monitor corrective actions to closure.

9.     Ensure timely closure of open audit findings and regulatory observations.
