- To provide legal support to the Company by advising on regulatory compliance, contracts, disputes, and governance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in a regulated financial-services environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advisory on matters relating to SEBI, RBI, Companies Act, FEMA, DPDP Act, PMLA, and other applicable laws.
- Draft, review, and vet client agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, SLAs, and related legal documentation.
- Support regulatory compliance, inspections, audit observations, and responses to regulators.
- Handle legal notices, claims, disputes, and liaison with external counsels.
- Assist in disciplinary proceedings, employee-related legal matters, and internal investigations.
- Support preparation and vetting of Board / Committee notes, resolutions, and governance documents.
- Identify legal risks in business operations and suggest mitigation measures.
- Assist in policy drafting, SOP updates, and legal awareness initiatives.
- Support data protection and confidentiality compliance under the DPDP Act
Educational Qualification
- LLB / LLM from a recognised university.
- Enrolment with a State Bar Council (preferred).
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant legal experience.
- Prior experience in banks, financial institutions, custodians, AMCs, brokers, or law firms handling financial services preferred.
