Overview: You’ll lead the engineering function for a large-scale, customer-facing, regulated platform business.

This role is for you if you:

• Have 20+ years in engineering, with 10+ years leading large teams/functions
• Come from BFSI / FinTech ecosystems (Bank, NBFC, Payments, Capital Markets, InsurTech, etc.)
• Have owned engineering strategy and execution across complex, enterprise systems
• Have led platform modernization (legacy → cloud, core systems, large-scale data migrations)
• Can operate across diverse tech stacks (e.g. Java, .NET, modern architectures, emerging AI use cases)
• Have built and scaled engineering teams, processes, and quality standards
• Can align engineering priorities with business goals, making trade-offs across cost, timelines, and quality
• Have led large engineering organizations (100+ team size), including a mix of full-time and contract teams

You’ll be responsible for:

• Owning engineering vision, architecture, and delivery outcomes
• Building and leading a high-performing engineering organization
• Driving engineering excellence — code quality, reliability, scalability, and security
• Establishing best practices, processes, and KPIs across engineering
• Leading technology decisions, modernization efforts, and AI adoption
• Partnering with leadership to prioritize and execute key initiatives

Important filters (please self-assess before applying):

• Must come from product/platform-led BFSI environments (not services/IT outsourcing)
• Experience in regulated, high-scale systems is essential
• Willing to relocate to Chennai
