About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist with 2–4 years of hands-on experience, preferably in the BFSI/Life Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in statistics and machine learning and must be comfortable working across the end-to-end data science lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across the complete data science lifecycle problem understanding, data extraction, data cleaning, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment support, and monitoring.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and measurable objectives.
• Conduct feature engineering, data transformation, and model performance optimization.
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and ensure robustness and stability.
• Collaborate with business, risk, underwriting, and analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
• Support deployment and monitoring of models in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Prepare clear documentation and present insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Data Science.
• Prior experience working on BFSI projects (Banking, Insurance, NBFC, or Fintech).
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of statistics, probability, regression concepts, and model validation techniques.
• Experience handling structured and large datasets.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and good communication skills.
